We built a media culture where the worst thing a public figure can do is hold a different position than they held ten years ago, then act surprised when nobody updates in public. The result isn't fewer wrong people, it's the same wrong people defending positions they privately abandoned. This whole site is a bet that the incentive can be flipped.
